Over Aimeng
Hi, I’m Aimeng, a native Mandarin speaker currently studying and living in the Netherlands. I’ve been here for about 2.5 years, which has helped me understand local life as well as the challenges of learning and communicating in a different language and culture.
I’m new to formal Mandarin teaching, but my interest in teaching started naturally through daily life. I really enjoy sharing Chinese language and culture with my friends, and I often help them learn basic Mandarin expressions, pronunciation, and simple conversations. Seeing them make progress — even small steps — made me realize how much I enjoy teaching and supporting others in their learning process.
For you, learning Mandarin may be something completely new — and for me, teaching it is also a new journey. But I always prepare seriously for each lesson, and I’m motivated to improve my teaching step by step. I believe we can learn, grow, and improve together.

My lessons focus on HSK 1–3, especially for beginners. I understand the common difficulties at the early stages, such as tones, pronunciation, and basic sentence structure, and I try to explain them in a clear, patient, and practical way. Since I’m also studying abroad, I know what it feels like to start something new, and I aim to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment.
I also enjoy learning more about Dutch and Western cultures, so I see my classes as a two-way exchange. Besides learning Mandarin, we can talk about cultural differences, daily life, and real-world usage of the language, making lessons more interesting and meaningful.
If you’re looking for a beginner-friendly Mandarin class with a relaxed atmosphere and cultural exchange, I’d be happy to support you on your learning journey.
