As an experienced chemistry educator with over 10 years of High school experience, my teaching approach revolves around fostering a comprehensive understanding of scientific principles through tailored methodologies. I prioritize the cultivation of solid study habits and the mastery of concepts through extensive practice with exam-style questions.
My teaching techniques center on interactive and engaging methods, employing a blend of visual aids, real-life examples, and hands-on experiments/simulations to simplify complex scientific ideas. I emphasize the importance of critical thinking and problem-solving skills, guiding students to develop a structured approach to tackle challenging concepts.
Each of my lessons spans a minimum duration of one hour, allowing ample time for in-depth discussions, clarifications, and practical applications of the subject matter. I firmly believe that sustained engagement is key in enabling students to grasp and internalize scientific concepts effectively.
With a robust background in chemistry education, coupled with my Bachelors of science degree in Education with specialization I chemistry and Biology, I am well equipped to guide students through their learning of science. My years of experience in teaching in Kenya and in The Hague have honed my ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and cater to students across various proficiency levels.
Primarily, my lessons cater to students pursuing chemistry at the high school and undergraduate levels.
