Concert pianist graduated at Rome Conservatorium gives piano lessons for all levels

Silvia is a passionate musician and she has an amazing amount of knowledge about music. She knows how to get the best sounds out of your fingers when they hit the piano keys. She knows how to analyse your mistakes and provide solutions to make the melody sound sweet and smooth. She knows how to find interesting pieces to play that best fit your level. She will always give her student her undivided attention in the lesson. I thoroughly enjoy my time at the lessons as well as during the time I set aside for personal practice at home.

Ik ben in contact gekomen met Sylvia via Super-prof. Na mijn pensionering heb ik een piano gekocht en volg nu een jaar lessen bij Sylvia. Onze les bestaat uit een kwartier solvege (theorie) en drie kwartier praktijk vanuit een gevarieerd pakket aan boeken. Buiten dat Sylvia met haar conservatorium opleiding een virtuoos pianist is, is zij ook een warme persoonlijkheid. Zij neemt mij ook mee naar klassieke muziek concerten en organiseert jaarlijks een huiskamer concert met al haar leerlingen. Ik heb mij geen betere piano lerares kunnen wensen. En beveel haar van harte aan.

I am really happy that I met Silvia who gladly took me in as a student. Silvia is a talented piano player and an excellent teacher. She has good didactic skills and is patient, so I'm feeling very comfortable playing with her and am not afraid to make mistakes. During the lesson I get helpful tips on improving my play; she has a very sharp eye for improvements.

She gives exercises to equip you with a proper technical basis, and she provides music pieces from different (classical) composers to introduce you to different styles, but is also open for own requests. I would definitely recommend Silvia as a piano teacher!

Silvia is a wonderful piano teacher. She is extremely well versed in both the theory and the practice of playing the piano, and manages to strike the right balance between the two.

Her teaching gives you a solid understanding of the theory behind music and the piano, so you won't just be memorizing what to do and where. It allows you to grow further and faster on your own as student and a player.
