Over Yona
My yoga journey began much like many people's—on and off, a fleeting practice picked up and put down. But seven years ago, my life changed. A heavy blanket of depression and anxiety settled over me, i was angry sad and lonely all at the same time. then i was diagnosed with Complex PTSD . The pain deepened with the loss of my grandmother, who was a mother to me. In the midst of this grief and struggle, I finally surrendered to the practice of yoga, and it was there, on the mat, that I discovered a side of yoga I never knew existed.
It wasn't about the perfect pose or the fitness aspect. It was about finding a safe harbour within myself. I fell in love with Ashtanga, and its disciplined yet flowing sequence became my anchor. It was profoundly life-changing. Through it, I learned to navigate my emotions, find stillness in the storm, and reconnect with my body and breath in a way that felt healing and true.
Now, at 36, I am a certified yoga teacher living on the beautiful coast of the Netherlands with my loving boyfriend and my almost 15-year-old son. My personal journey has shaped my teaching, and I believe that yoga is for every body and every story. My passion is to share the transformative power of this practice with others.

I offer private one-on-one sessions and corporate yoga classes, tailoring each practice to your specific needs. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to deepen your existing practice, I offer a variety of styles, including Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa, and Yin-Yang. I aim to create a nurturing and attentive space where you can explore and connect with yourself, just as I did.
I would be honored to guide you on your own unique path toward well-being and inner peace.

Yona has been helping me with her yoga in a different style, since i started with her in january. Its like she is giving my body the space to choose what style of yoga it needs for the day, which at some point we were doing Yin, i never knew til then i could enjoy Yin.. totally recommend her!!
