Over Carla
I am a Catalan violinist, currently finishing my Master's in Violin Performance at Codarts, in Rotterdam. I graduated with my Bachelor of Music from the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona.
I actively combine my studies with a professional performing career. I regularly play with various orchestras in Catalonia and I am a member of the Orchestre des Jeunes de Luxembourg.
I am also passionate about Chamber Music and have extensive experience in various ensembles, which allows me to teach the essential skills of listening and musical communication.
In addition to performing, I have three years of experience as a violin teacher. I strongly believe music is a versatile and profound art form, and I am passionate about sharing it with students of all ages and levels.
Languages: English, Spanish and Catalan (my mother tongue)

Hello! Would you like to learn how to play the violin?
I adapt my lessons to the specific goals of each student, whether it's learning the violin from scratch, learning to play your favourite pieces or improving and deeping the level you currently have.
My methodology centers on finding a balance between technique and musicality to ensure you grow comprehensively as a violinist. Learning the violin is not just about scales; it's about expression and enjoyment!
During the lessons we can:
- incorporate exercises focused on physical consciousness and posture, ensuring you understand how to use your body effectively and play the violin in the most comfortable way possible.
- work on clean technique (bowing, intonation, and coordination) while simultaneously dedicating time to musical interpretation, listening, and expressive freedom.
- discover the marvellous works written for the violin. My goal is for these pieces to make you fall even more in love with this precious instrument and its endless possibilities.
I welcome students of all ages and all levels.
