Over Lachegyi
I grew up in a musical family in Hungary and began my studies at the age of five, with chamber music being an important part of my life.
After completing my cello bachelor in Debrecen and studying special education in Budapest, I moved to The Hague to focus on early music - completing my master's degree of viola da gamba and baroque cello in 2020.
Since graduating, I’ve been fortunate to perform throughout Europe with well-known early music ensembles and to take part in many recordings — experiences that continue to inspire my teaching and playing.

For more than a decade, I’ve been teaching viola da gamba, cello, and music theory to students of all ages and backgrounds. My approach is simple: every student learns differently, and the most inspiring lessons are the ones shaped around you. Whether your goal is to play for fun, make music together, deepen your understanding of theory, or prepare for professional studies, I tailor each lesson so it feels personal, motivating, and achievable.
