Over Elise
While I specialize in teaching technical and business English, I am happy to take on any student. I love teaching and learning, no matter the context. I am creative and try to find ways to make my students excited about whatever it is they are learning from me. I am very enthusiastic and outgoing (as most Americans are). I understand that using English in a professional setting can be terrifying, even for native speakers, so I prioritize making students comfortable while we build their confidence.

I tailor my lessons to my students' needs and the context in which they will use their English. For those planning to use it in a business or professional setting, I can also cover cultural conventions for working with clients/colleagues in the US and CV/resume writing. I recently finished an advanced degree in Computer Science, during which time I published 11 academic papers. I can help students in tech fields learn technical writing and research skills, including the essential programming skill of effectively searching the internet.
