Over Yiannis
Hi! My name is Yiannis Bontis, I'm 24 years old and I'm from Greece!
In 2018 I moved to the netherlands to follow up on my dream of becoming a professional trombone player and since then I've obtained a Bachelor's degree in music performance, a minor in education and am currently on my Master's degree studies. I'm also very active in the music scene in the Netherlands performing mostly in the contemporary and jazz music scene but also in theater productions and of course orchestras.
Teaching has always been a big part of my life since I started studying here in the Netherlands. Since day one, I was teaching and when I finally got the chance to do a minor in Education I took it on an instant. I thought it was finally time to have an official diploma in teaching since my goal is to be a teacher alongside all my activities since, what good is performing music if you can’t also inspire others and even better teach them the way to achieve their dreams as I was taught.

Did you always wanted to learn how to play the trombone, be a part of your town's windband or just play with your family and friends?
Now you can do that with my help!
Every lesson is being tailored to each student's needs, while I'll guide you to the most productive practice sessions you can have!
Don't know how to read notes? No problem! We will learn everything together!
Main aspect of my teaching is learning the skills you need but also having fun! After all, we all want some fun in our life!
My main goal is YOUR main goal.
Together we will achieve your dream!
First lesson (30 mins) is free! We meet, talk about your goals and make a plan for our music trip!
All the lessons for every other week are arranged at the end of the previous week.
Prices: 50 euros per hour ( negotiable )
Location: Student‘s location around the Hague, Royal Conservatory of The Hague (Amare)
Student Level: Any
Lessons offered in English and Greek.

Ik heb op het conservatorium in Den Haag een halfjaar tromboneles gehad van Yiannis. Yiannis besteed veel aandacht aan blaastechniek en intonatie. Hij gebruikt goede inspeeloefeningen en mooie etudes. En hij is heel aardig. Dus van harte aanbevolen als tromboneleraar!
Yiannis was een hele fijne trombone docent. Hij weet heel goed waar hij het over heeft en is echt een professional. Ik heb in korte tijd veel van hem kunnen leren! Echt een aanrader :)
