Over Pedro
As a classical musician, I'm really connected to traditional roots that Bach and Mozart left us, however, as a classical saxophonist, and being the saxophone a relatively 'brand-new' instrument, I'm happy to look at tradition from a certain distance that gives a certain freedom, and inspiration as well, to explore different genres within the musical globe! What is a genre you would like to delve into? Rock, classical, country, blues, impressionism, jazz? I'm all hears and ready to play all things saxophone with you!
I'm currently finishing my bachelor degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under the guidance of Arno Borrnkamp and Willem van Merwijk, while being a member of the Dokwerk Saxophone Quartet and the Bailmer Duo.
As a professional musician, I'm particularly interested in making music with others. The 'chamber music' component has been playing an important role during my path. I've played in all kinds of different formations - saxophone quartet, clarinet-sax-piano trio, flute-oboe-clarinet-saxophone quartet, big band, wind orchestra, symphonic orchestra, saxophone-piano duo, to name a few, and to create sound together is something that has always fascinated me so be prepared to have some duos (at least) in your repertoire!

On my lessons we'll approach and explore the basics that the instrument requires in order to get the machine going. We will definitely translate those songs that are constantly crossing your mind into a saxophonistic language. All levels and ages are most welcome Lessons in English, Portuguese and een beetje Nederlands!
- Coming from the North of Portugal, where the strong presence of wind bands acts like a musical womb of many players, I've got the privilege to grow in that atmosphere and later on teach for a short while in it.
