Hey there I'm Sofia.
I’m Portuguese, born and raised in Portugal, and I’m here to help you speak my language in a real way, without any pressure.
My passion for languages started in Tourism. I worked for years as a hotel receptionist, where I learned that communication is about much more than just knowing grammar, it’s also about creating a connection with it and with the people.

I’m a student myself, therefore I find it helpful to help others when it’s needed.
I’m not a fan of just "staring" at a textbook for an hour (let’s be honest, it’s boring). Since I love writing poetry and stories, I like to bring a bit of that creativity into our sessions.
We’ll focus on "social" language, the kind of phrases you’d actually use on an outing or during social interactions, not just in a classroom setting.
We might use small writing prompts or talk about cultural curiosities to help you remember words better. I believe this is a great way to create a genuine connection with the language. Overall, my goal is to make you feel comfortable enough to make mistakes, we aren’t robots, and making mistakes is the only way you actually get better.
