Over Josie
My name is Josie. I am originally from South Africa. I am a Master's candidate at the Royal Conservatoire, The Hague. I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree (Cum Laude) in classical saxophone performance from Stellenbosch University (South Africa).
I am an active performing musician. My current projects and research involve collaborating with composers to create new music for the saxophone. I have done several research projects promoting South African saxophone compositions.
I have teaching experience both locally and abroad. I taught as a student teacher at the Stellenbosch Conservatorium as well as schools in South Africa and The Hague. I love teaching and I believe that it is important to share the gift of music with those who are willing to learn.

Hi my name is Josie.
Hello, my name is Josie McClure. I am a performing saxophonist and teacher based in The Hague/Rijswijk. I have a huge passion for the saxophone that began when I was ten years old! I want to share my love for the saxophone with those who are equally fascinated with this wonderful instrument. Although I do specialise in classical saxophone, I love working on cross-over projects and have experience playing in a wide variety of styles. I enjoy teaching both beginner and experienced saxophonists.
As every student is different, I like to structure the lessons according to the students needs, wishes and goals.
All ages and levels are welcome.
