Over Manami
Trained at the English National Ballet School and the New Zealand School of Dance, I began my career as a seasonal dancer in Europe and Canada before discovering my passion for teaching.
My teaching journey started in London, where I ran ballet programmes for adults of all levels. I focused on building strong foundations and confidence through classical ballet technique, helping dancers develop both discipline and joy in movement.
I continued my teaching career in Japan, coaching pre-professional dancers, with a particular focus on ballet school and company auditions, performances, competitions and technical development, as well as teaching adult beginners through advanced levels.
I’m attentive and passionate about helping each student progress at their own pace, whether they are discovering ballet for the first time or working towards more advanced goals.

I offer personalised ballet lessons for adults of all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced dancers and audition preparation. Having trained and taught in both British and Vaganova methods, I adapt each lesson to your level, goals and interests.
You can choose what you would like to focus on – barre, centre work, particular movements you struggle with in class, classical variations, technique, flexibility and more. If you are not sure what you need, I can structure the lesson around your level and goals.
My approach combines detailed corrections with a supportive, encouraging atmosphere, helping you build strong foundations, confidence and real progress at your own pace.
Whether you are taking your first ballet class, returning after a break, looking to refine your technique or simply want to enjoy ballet, we can make each lesson work for you.
