Over Wesley
Mathematics has always been a subject that came naturally to me. It was my favourite subject in secondary school, and I also regularly helped classmates who found mathematics more difficult.
I successfully completed a Bachelor's degree in Econometrics and Operations Research, a highly mathematical university programme. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Econometrics.
I have experience tutoring students from primary school, VMBO, HAVO and VWO, both in lower and upper secondary education, including exam preparation. I also have experience working with VAVO students and students in MBO, HBO and university education.
I am familiar with the Dutch education system and can help students with mathematics at different levels within the Dutch system. I am also happy to work with international students and students following international curricula, including IB and A-Levels. I am open to other international curricula as well. I also offer mathematics preparation for the OMPT exams.

Every student learns in a different way. That is why I always start by finding out exactly where the difficulties come from. I then explain the material step by step, following the teaching method used at school and paying extra attention to the topics the student finds difficult.
For mathematics, I focus on understanding the theory and practising plenty of exercises.
If I receive the lesson material in advance, I carefully prepare each lesson. This allows us to get started right away with the topics that are most important and make the most of the available lesson time.
There are no stupid questions when you study with me. Everyone gets stuck sometimes or forgets something they learned in previous school years. There is nothing wrong with that. I create a calm and comfortable atmosphere where you can ask questions without hesitation. Together, we work step by step towards better understanding, better results and greater confidence.
