Over Vlad
I am a oud player from France, currently doing my bachelor in Turkish music in Codarts.
I use to play guitar and various string instruments until I fell in love with the oud, I travelled Turkey, Greece, Macedonia and Morocco extensively and attended several modal music workshops in Crete and Istanbul.

We will work on the posture, how to hold the instrument, left hand and right hand technical exercises and ornaments, get to know the oriental rhythms, and balkan odd meters.
We will dive into the middle eastern modal system of makam, learn how to improvise in a makam, modulate from one makam to the other.
Learn your favorite tunes or those I selected for you according to your level.
Turk sanat muzik (turkish art music), Halk muzik (turkish folk songs), greek and balkan dance tunes, arabic songs, tango, you name it !
Reading music and having instrumental experience is optional.
