I can’t recommend Ricardo enough. He helped me with my motivation letter for a master program, and honestly, it turned into so much more than just writing a letter.

What stood out to me most is how easily he connects with you. From the very beginning, I felt completely at ease. He has a calm, genuine way of listening and he picks up on what you’re not even saying with words; such as your doubts, your insecurities, but also your strengths. That made a huge difference for me.

I could really feel that he has a background in psychology. Instead of jumping straight into writing, he took the time to ask thoughtful questions that helped me understand my own motivation more clearly. Questions I hadn’t even asked myself before. He helped me reconnect with why I wanted this in the first place, and that changed everything.

From there, we built the letter step by step, finding the right story, choosing what really mattered, and refining it until it felt truly like me. He’s very detail-oriented and cares about doing things properly, but in a way that feels supportive, and not overwhelming.

In the end, he didn’t just help me to write an outstanding motivation letter (which by the way allowed me to pass to the next step of the selection process!), he helped me feel more confident, clear, and connected to myself.

I truly believe he can help anyone, whether it’s for school or work. He has both the technical skills and the human side that make him really special as a teacher.

Ricardo was a tutor of mine at the Vrije Universiteit for the Psychology bachelor. The course he tutored me for was Work & Organizational Psychology. In this course, we had to do a presentation for a grade. Ricardo was a huge help in preparing for the presentation and, especially, for what to attend to in order to improve one's presentation skills. He used to put a lot of emphasis on making sure we spoke in an understandable way (volume, speed, use of intonation, and articulation) and that we did so succinctly, making us practice presenting within a limited timeframe.
Despite being a very kindhearted and attentive person, he really has a knack for connecting with his students and making sure that everyone understands what he is trying to convey.
