Hi! I’m a Janita from India, based in Groningen . I'm a jazz vocalist, songwriter, and Master’s-trained musician with experience in jazz and Indian classical music. I love helping singers discover their voice and build a strong foundation in technique and improvisation.
I believe good technique gives you the freedom to sing with confidence and develop your own sound.
Whether you’re just starting out or want to improve your singing, I’ll adapt the lessons to your level and goals.

I have 7 years of teaching experience and hold a certificate from the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, where I also taught students in jazz and contemporary voice. I have additionally taught at the Brilliance School of Music, working with singers from beginner to advanced levels.
My teaching covers jazz, pop, vocal technique, improvisation, and Indian classical foundations. I particularly enjoy helping students develop pitch, ear training, vocal control, rhythm, and an understanding of their voice.
My approach is structured and individualised: I focus on building solid fundamentals first, then help students apply them to the music they love and develop their own musical expression and confidence.
