Over Sara
Hi! My name is Sara, I’m 19 years old and I’m currently studying International Business at Hanze University in Groningen.
I’ve been working with children since I was 15. I started by looking after my younger cousins in Ireland and children from my neighbourhood. That same year, I also did a few weeks of work experience in a primary school in Ireland, helping in a second-grade classroom.
Over the past three years, I’ve gained regular paid experience working with children in Spain, especially through babysitting and teaching English. I’m comfortable looking after children of all ages, from babies to teenagers up to 17 years old, and I also have experience caring for several children at the same time.
I really enjoy spending time with children and coming up with activities adapted to their age, personality and interests. I can help with homework, play games, do creative activities, cook simple meals, and take care of bath time, pyjamas and bedtime routines when needed.
I would describe myself as patient, responsible, calm and, at the same time, fun and easy-going. Patience is something parents have particularly appreciated about me. If a child is having a difficult moment or a tantrum, I try to stay calm, listen to them and understand what is frustrating them, while setting clear boundaries and creating a safe environment where they feel comfortable.
As a university student, I have a flexible schedule during the week and I’m usually available at weekends as well. I’m happy to do both occasional babysitting and regular weekly arrangements, including evenings and nights. I can also pick children up from school or take them to activities. I don’t have a car, but I have a bicycle and live close to the city centre in Groningen.
I speak Spanish and English and I’m currently learning about life in the Netherlands. Most importantly, I’ve always really enjoyed being around children and have found that I naturally connect with them and enjoy taking care of them.

My approach to babysitting is simple: I adapt to each child’s age, personality and interests. I like to keep children engaged with age-appropriate activities, games and creative ideas while making sure they feel comfortable and safe.
I’m also happy to help with homework, prepare simple meals, organise bedtime routines or take children to activities when needed. I always try to create a calm and positive environment where children can have fun while still having clear and consistent boundaries.
I believe every child is different, so I adapt my approach depending on what they need and enjoy.

Sara es una chica muy agradable, mi hija no conseguía aprobar inglés y con la paciencia y dedicación de Sara ahora hasta ve la tele en inglés. Es precio se ajusta perfecto a nuestras necesidades y la verdad nos rentó muchísimo. Si buscas una profesora ella es perfecta.
Ella es muy buena profesora ayudo a mis hijos que estan en 4 de la ESO el año pasado y los dos sacarón notables. Estoy muy contenta y la recomendaría muchísimo
Tiene un muy buen nivel de inglés, paciencia y a la hora de explicar conceptos es muy buena.
