I am a finance professional originally from Bucharest, now based in the Netherlands, with a background spanning credit asset management and a long/short equity hedge fund. Finance has always been more than a career for me — it is a genuine passion, and one I enjoy sharing with others.
Teaching keeps me sharp. Explaining concepts clearly, answering challenging questions, and seeing students progress all push me to stay at the top of my knowledge — which I genuinely enjoy. I spend a lot of my own time reading about investments, markets, and economics, so sessions often go beyond the textbook into what is actually happening in the real world.
Outside of finance, I enjoy skiing, tennis, and golf — sports that, like tutoring, reward patience, discipline, and continuous improvement. I bring that same mindset into every session: progress takes structure, consistency, and the right guidance.

My lessons are designed for university students, MSc and MBA candidates, and professionals preparing for the CFA exam at any level. I specialise in corporate finance, investments, portfolio management, fixed income, credit analysis, and equity valuation — subjects I have studied at the highest academic level and worked with daily in professional investment environments.
What makes my sessions different is the real-world context I bring. Having worked in credit asset management and at a long/short equity hedge fund, I know how these concepts are applied by practitioners — not just how they appear in textbooks. Students consistently find that this perspective makes abstract theory click in a way that purely academic teaching rarely does.
A typical session begins by identifying exactly where the student is struggling, then working through the concept from first principles before connecting it to practical examples. I adapt my pace and style entirely to the individual — some students need exam technique and structured practice, others need deeper conceptual understanding. Sessions are conducted online in English, and I am happy to communicate in French, Romanian and can speak/understand at an intermediate level Dutch.
