Teaching techniques: I use the "So what?" method for literary analysis, guiding students to uncover deeper meanings in poetry and prose. For writing tasks like CVs, cover letters, and theses, I employ scaffolded practice—breaking complex projects into manageable steps with clear milestones. Creative writing sessions feature prompt-based exercises and peer workshop feedback to build confidence and voice.
Typical lesson structure: We begin with a brief review of previous material, followed by targeted instruction on the day's concept. Students then apply knowledge through guided practice with real-time feedback. We conclude with independent work and a reflection question to consolidate learning.
Specific skills: Poetry analysis (meter, imagery, themes), professional writing (CV/cover letter optimization), academic documentation (thesis structure, citation, argumentation), and creative writing (fiction, poetry, narrative techniques).
