Over Olimpia
Between my studies, I worked overseas in Warsaw, Poland as a classroom teacher in two Polish-English bilingual schools. In these three years, I taught all core subjects in English to non-native learners from kindergarten through grade 5. Additionally, I worked in Victoria, Canada as a remedial teacher providing literacy, language, and numeracy support in primary and secondary school.

I use an inquiry-based approach to foster the ability for lifelong learning in my students. I create open-ended tasks, allow for student choice within structured activities, and design lessons to accommodate multiple intelligences. Students' interests are incorporated in my planning, and theme-based units with multiple access points to ensure success for each student. Students are able to present their learning in various ways to allow for authentic assessment and ownership of learning.
