Over Lucia
Hi, my name is Lucia, I am an experienced cycling instructor. Over the last 8 years I have been helping people up and down the UK to improve their cycling skills:
Want to learn how to ride? I have taught, easily, over 1000 people how to do that, young and old, over the years.
New to the Netherlands and need a bit of confidence riding on the busy Dutch fietspaden? Need to learn how the rules work here?
Whatever your level or need, I can help!

Bikeability is the UK government cycle training programme and, as a qualified instructor, I worked in schools and in the community alike. When it came to working my many private clients I, usually, worked on a one-to-one basis and have achieved, across the board, excellent outcomes. I have also, worked with people with Special Educational Needs and other disabilities, as well, especially, with with Midland Mencap.
I also qualified as a fietsdocent with the Fietsersbond, in the Netherlands.
I teach with an empathetic and patient style - though lessons are fun and light-hearted and paced to your pace, always being adapted as we go.

I teach in a personalised manner: the lesson is paced appropriately so that it works best for you. Whether learning to ride, improving your skills, or gaining confidence in traffic, we look to find a place that is a good challenge, but that doesn't not feel too uncomfortable.
Learn to Ride: we start off by learning to balance before progressing to pedals
Improve your skills: we work in a traffic-free environment, working on bike control and progressively introducing challenges
Out and about (in traffic): we plan a journey relevant to your needs and work out a route and looking to gain confidence when riding in traffic, both with other riders as well as with motor vehicles

I am lucky to have been able to be led by Lucia thru wonderful flows. She has an ease leading us thru different poses and makes you feel comfortable even if you are not advanced (and can give you a good challenge if that’s what you’re looking for too!). I highly recommend Lucia and have to add you’re lucky to be able to be led by such a wonderful teacher.
Heb al meerdere lessen bij Lucia gevolgd, ze is een superleuke lerares! Speels, toegankelijk en ze hielp me goed ontspannen. Ik blijk een stuk leniger dan ik had verwacht. I'll be back :)
Lucia is a great yoga teacher. I’m older and new to Yoga yet keen to try new exercise. Through her knowledge of yoga and excellent teaching techniques I’ve become far more flexible and fit. I love working with Lucia.
