Over Matija
With around ten years of Arabic studies and a background in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies from Serbia, the Netherlands, and Egypt, I also hold a certificate for teaching Arabic as a foreign language from the Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo. My travels to Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, and Tunisia have deepened my understanding of the challenges students face when learning Arabic, starting from the alphabet. I use this experience to guide students, helping them not only master the language but also connect with the cultures, history, and daily life of the Arab world.

I teach Modern Standard Arabic with a touch of Egyptian and Lebanese dialects. Beginners can dive in from scratch, mastering the alphabet and building their language skills step by step. Although learning the Arabic alphabet can be challenging, I aim to make it into a exciting and fun experience. My lessons are dynamic, blending reading, writing, speaking, and listening. In addition to the language itself, I incorporate elements of history and everyday culture from Arabic-speaking countries into my lessons.
