I am a qualified Foundation Phase educator from South Africa, now based in the Netherlands. I hold a Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase (with Distinction) from the University of the Free State, and I am a certified TEFL/TESOL tutor with 150 hours of advanced training.
With over three years of classroom experience teaching learners of various ages, I have developed a strong ability to adapt my teaching style to meet the unique needs of each student. I have taught in both mainstream and independent schools, worked with children of diverse learning abilities—including those with special needs—and created inclusive, supportive classroom environments that prioritize student confidence and growth.
Now offering online English tutoring, I bring the same dedication, warmth, and structure to my virtual lessons. I specialize in teaching both young learners and older students and adults who want to build a solid foundation in English or improve specific skills such as speaking, pronunciation, reading, or vocabulary.
My teaching style is interactive, friendly, and goal-focused. I believe in creating a safe space where students feel comfortable to express themselves, ask questions, and make mistakes as part of the learning journey. I focus on helping learners build confidence in speaking English through real-life conversation practice, clear and supportive pronunciation guidance, and structured vocabulary development.
My online lessons are engaging and tailored to each individual's level, age, and goals- whether it is improving everyday communication, preparing for interviews, or strengthening academic English.
I also provide constructive feedback and optional homework to reinforce progress between lessons. My goal is to create a positive, encouraging learning space where every student feels comfortable to speak, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace.

Your first lesson with me is completely free — it is a relaxed, no-pressure way for us to meet and see how we work together.
Here is what we will do during the session:
☆ Talk about your goals and what you would like to achieve
☆ Explore the areas you feel confident in and those you would like to improve
☆ Try out a short sample activity so you can get a feel for my teaching style
☆ Ask me anything — this is your time to get clarity and feel comfortable
I will also take time to learn more about you — your interests, how you like to learn, and what motivates you — so I can shape our lessons around what works best for you.
Afterwards, I will put together a personalized plan to help you make progress in a way that feels clear, focused, and enjoyable.
