Over Celeste
Hi everyone!
I'm Celeste, a composer and musician from Zimbabwe that has recently graduated a masters in Screen Scoring from Codarts, Rotterdam. Before that I studied a Bachelors in Composition and Piano Performance at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
I've been doing music my whole life: playing piano, violin, and saxophone throughout school and joining all the orchestras, choirs, bands, etc. that I could. I then found composition at university and am setting out to be a film composer!
I'm currently working as a composer, teacher, sound recordist, multi-instrumentalist and performer in Rotterdam. Music is such a big part of my every day life and I'd love to pass that on!

I value fun and creativity in my lessons and think they're a super useful part of the process in learning a new skill.
Each lesson would cater to your own goals and wishes. I love finding creative ways for students to learn. We can practice your piano skills by learning your favorite songs and tweaking them to develop the skills you need to work on. We can create your own music and learn how to put what you hear in your mind onto paper or even into a fully produced song itself!
- Piano: Beginner to Intermediate levels, techniques, sight reading skills, technical skills, learning industry standard pieces as well as covers of your own favorite pop songs, jazz standards, whatever your passions are and what will help your development.
- Composition: Learn the basics of music theory, notation software like Sibelius, Finale, MuseScore, etc., learn different ways on how to mold your creativity into epic sounds.
- Music Production: Learn the basics of music technology, explore DAWs like Ableton Live or Cubase and learn how to use them. Learn instrument recording techniques and how to implement Virtual Instruments and Sample Libraries and how to make them sound as realistic as possible or exactly how you want them to sound.
You can be at any level, as long as you have a curiosity about music and want to learn we can have a great time learning together :)
