I attained a 2:1 final degree classification during my studies at Exeter. I developed various skills and capacities including proficiency with a variety of software, including ArcGIS, Python, the hydraulic modelling program HEC-RAS and the hydrological modelling program HEC-HMS. I gained extensive report writing experience, including flood impact assessments, GIS mapping and interpretation and analytical and statistical assignments. I studied German at C1 level for 2 years, achieving an averaged final grade of 67% across a variety of written and oral examinations. I also studied Advanced Beginner Spanish at A2/B1 level for 1 year, achieving a final grade of 73%.

My Erasmus Year was spent at the University College Utrecht studying Liberal Arts and Sciences. I pursued subjects ranging from sustainability and biogeography to sociology and politics. September 2017– November 2017, Research Intern, Centre de Developpement de la Region Tensift, Marrakech
The CDRT is an NGO operating within the region of Marrakech, delivering sustainable development projects around the themes of democracy, citizenship, public health, and the environment. I was responsible for the successful delivery of two new sustainable development projects in the region of Marrakech, requiring project management, negotiation, and excellent communication skills. These projects provided business advice and online sales training to a women’s cooperative and educational programs for school children on climate change and public health respectively. Identification of potential global and national partners for the CDRT, and conception of project proposals. This required accurate and concise report writing, alongside an awareness of professional business norms and values. Communication pathways varied in language, and I utilized my French lingual skills to deliver projects and tasks on time and to a suitably professional standard. Collaboration with professionals and local stakeholders to deliver sustainable development projects on themes such as civil engagement, public health, democracy and human rights, and climate change mitigation. I required a good independent work ethic to collaborate remotely with other actors, and the ability to problem-solve and negotiate with a variety of individuals.
October 2017 – Present, Research Volunteer, Less Meat Less Heat,
Working as a remote research volunteer with Less Meat Less Heat, a climate action group, requires strong communication skills across a variety of different platforms, such as Trello and Slack, and the ability to work independently. I was part of the team that helped Less Meat Less Heat prepare for the 2017 COP23 in Bonn, including identifying beneficial policy documents, researching scientific articles and research around the topic of agricultural greenhouse gas emissions, and contributing to wider group work.
January 2016-July 2016, Project and Volunteer Coordinator, Green Office Utrecht, Utrecht
Whilst studying in Utrecht, I also undertook a part-time internship at the Green Office. This is the sustainability hub for the University of Utrecht and is pivotal for driving and progressing the sustainability strategies of the student, academic and administrative communities. I was responsible for the management and coordination of volunteers, including strategizing for volunteer retention, organizing new partnerships for volunteer participation, and delivering events for volunteers. This was a high-energy role, applying good marketing and motivational skills with management of individuals and groups, and effective independent- and team-work. The role required liaising with a variety of stakeholders from professional, academic and community backgrounds to develop and deliver sustainability-focused projects. I collaborated with other actors in multiple languages to promote and expand the integral sustainability focus of the Green Office.

I have 7 years’ experience as a ASA Level 2 Qualified Swimming Instructor. I have worked with a variety of participants of differing ages, requiring a flexible communication style and the ability to build strong relationships.
