I’m Valerian, a Chemistry BSc from TU/e with over 4 years of tutoring experience in chemistry, math, calculus, and physics. My journey began while preparing for the International Chemistry Olympiad, when I created study resources for peers, sparking my passion for mentoring. Since then, I have guided students from middle school to university, creating an environment where curiosity thrives and learning becomes engaging. I believe students grow most when concepts are clear, challenges feel manageable, and they are supported in building real confidence.

I teach chemistry, calculus, math, and physics for high-school and first-year university students, including IB SL/HL and A-level. My approach is to make learning structured and engaging: we start each lesson with a quick check-in, then work through clear explanations and guided practice before applying knowledge to exam-style questions. I integrate active recall, problem-solving techniques, and personalized feedback to help students build confidence and independence. With a background as a lab assistant and calculus tutor, I know how to connect theory to practice and adjust my teaching style to each student’s needs.
